The probably most high quality soap stone there is, the MammuttiStone (in Finnish "MaummuttiKivi")is both to withstand extraordinary heat conditions and to conduct, rapidly, the thermal energy from the surface of the stone into its interior, and is therefore the material, quite obviously, by far best apt for the innermost parts of the furnace of fireplaces. In so far as known, MammuttiStone can be acquired, solely, from the Nunnanlahden Uuni Oy Corp. in Nunnanlahti, Finland (see www.nunnauuni.fi) |
